DESCRIPTION:The Club is planning once again on attending the Hinckley Classic Motorshow on Sunday 15th September 2024. \nFor those of you that haven’t taken part before\, this is a very informal show laid out in the streets of Hinckley town centre and is attended by many different types of classic vehicles.  There’s invariably other stuff taking place at the same time to keep children and adults alike entertained\, as well as the majority of the shops being open too.  So\, all in all\, a good day out\, particularly as it’s free! \nThe show focuses on classic vehicles or vehicles of special interest and at last year’s show\, we had 8 Beetles and campers in our line up.  It would be great to repeat the same or better this year\, the cruise alone into town makes for quite a spectacle\, as does parking up in the town centre! \nIf you would like to take part\, please email our Membership Secretary (lwvwoc.membership@gmail.com) for further details. \n  \nhttps://www.hinckleybid.co.uk/whats-on

SUMMARY:Hinckley Classic Car Show
DESCRIPTION:The Club is planning once again on attending the Hinckley Classic Motorshow on Sunday 17th September 2023. \nFor those of you that haven’t taken part before\, this is a very informal show laid out in the streets of Hinckley town centre and is attended by many different types of classic vehicles.  There’s invariably other stuff taking place at the same time to keep children and adults alike entertained\, as well as the majority of the shops being open too.  So\, all in all\, a good day out\, particularly as it’s free! \nThe show focuses on classic vehicles or vehicles of special interest and at last year’s show\, we had 10 Beetles and campers in our line up.  It would be great to repeat the same or better this year\, the cruise alone into town makes for quite a spectacle\, as does parking up in the town centre! \nIf you would like to take part\, please email our Membership Secretary (lwvwoc.membership@gmail.com) for further details.

DESCRIPTION:Rescheduled due to the great British weather\, one of our most popular events\, the Club picnic is now taking place on Sunday\, 3rd Sep ’23 at the Market Bosworth Country Park (see below for directions). \nBeing a relaxed and informal outing\, there is no need to pre-book\, simply turn up on the day at 11:00am armed with a picnic lunch and camping chairs.  On arrival\, walk through the car park and you’ll find other Club members gathered on the grass. \nThere is a charge to use the car park\, up to a maximum of £5 for a stay of 3 hours or more\, with contactless payment machines in operation on the site. \nIn the event of poor weather on the day\, please call Colin Taylor on 07923 114603 for confirmation that the event is still going ahead. \nWe hope to see you there! \nDirections: \nMarket Bosworth Country Park is located in West Leicestershire\, 1 mile from the A447\, immediately to the east of Market Bosworth town.  The country park’s entrance and car park can be accessed from the B585 which leads into the market town (CV13 0LP).
