DESCRIPTION:The Club is planning once again on attending the Hinckley Classic Motorshow on Sunday 21st September 2025. \nFor those of you that haven’t taken part before\, this is a very informal show laid out in the streets of Hinckley town centre and is attended by many different types of vehicles.  There’s invariably other stuff taking place at the same time to keep children and adults alike entertained\, as well as the majority of the shops being open too.  So\, all in all\, a good day out\, particularly as it’s free! \nThe show focuses on classic vehicles or vehicles of special interest and at last year’s show\, we had a record 16 cars and vans in our line up\, two of which picked up trophies!  It would be great to repeat the same or better this year\, the cruise alone into town makes for quite a spectacle\, as does parking up in the town centre. \nIf you would like to take part\, please email our Membership Secretary (lwvwoc.membership@gmail.com) for further details. \n

British Motor Museum\, Banbury Road\, Warwick. CV35 0BJ.\n\nThe date for the next Swap Meet is Sunday 2nd February 2025 and the new venue is the home of the world’s largest collection of historic British Cars\, The British Motor Museum in Gaydon\, Warwickshire.\n\n\n\nOnce again\, we’re winding the clock back to the good old days of UK swap meets\, where the main focus will be on quality new and used air-cooled Volkswagen and Porsche related items. Whether it’s NOS/genuine used parts you’re after\, or quality new items\, we wanty ou to come away with everything you need for your beloved vehicle. \n\nWe had tremendous support at the last event and many of those traders from our first Swap Meet have already signed up again. DESCRIPTION:STOP PRESS! \nPlease note that due to weather concerns\, we are changing the venue of Sunday’s New Year’s Walk. This will now be at Coombe Abbey nr Coventry at the meeting time of 11.00am\, not 10.30am as previously stated. Coombe is near sea level while the previous venue Beacon Hill is about 850 feet above and prone to snowfall. Take Wellingtons or walking boots as there will be some mud. Weather looks better later\, hence time change. \nOur traditional New Year’s walk\, providing an ideal opportunity to catch up with everyone and also to burn off some of those extra calories consumed over the festive period! \nThis year\, the walk will take place at Beacon Hill Country Park\, Woodhouse Eaves.  This is a country park with great views and a small café. \nMeet at 10.30am in the lower car park\, just off Breakback Road (LE12 8TA). \nCar park fees at time of writing are: \n\nUp to 1 hour – £2\n1-2 hours – £3.50\n2-3 hours – £4.50\nOver 3 hours – £5\n\nPayment is contactless via card.

DESCRIPTION:The Club is planning once again on attending the Hinckley Classic Motorshow on Sunday 15th September 2024. \nFor those of you that haven’t taken part before\, this is a very informal show laid out in the streets of Hinckley town centre and is attended by many different types of classic vehicles.  There’s invariably other stuff taking place at the same time to keep children and adults alike entertained\, as well as the majority of the shops being open too.  So\, all in all\, a good day out\, particularly as it’s free! \nThe show focuses on classic vehicles or vehicles of special interest and at last year’s show\, we had 8 Beetles and campers in our line up.  It would be great to repeat the same or better this year\, the cruise alone into town makes for quite a spectacle\, as does parking up in the town centre! \nIf you would like to take part\, please email our Membership Secretary (lwvwoc.membership@gmail.com) for further details. \n  \nhttps://www.hinckleybid.co.uk/whats-on
